JSD Chattar League leader stabbed to death in Kushtia

Unidentified miscreants stabbed a leader of JSD Chhatra League, the student front of Jatyia Samajtantrik Dal, to death in Kushtia’s Bheramara upazila around 10.30pm on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Tushar, 28, the Co-Secretary of Mokarimpur Union JASAD Chhatra League.

Tushar was stabbed at Golapnagar Bazar of Mokarimpur union of the upazila around 7.00pm. Later, he died on the way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital around 10:30pm. He was hailed from Mokarimpur village.

The deceased's father Rabiul Islam Rabi told media that Tushar was a second-year student of a private university in Dhaka. He came home from Dhaka to celebrate Eid vacation. Rabiul Islam Rabi is also organising secretary of Mokarimpur Union JSD.

Zahirul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bheramara Police Station, said, "No case has been filed yet. Additional police were deployed in the area."
