Bangladesh Railway is operating trains under special arrangements from Monday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. On the first day of the special arrangement, the crowd of passengers at Dhaka Railway Station (Kamalapur Railway Station) has increased compared to other days.

After visting Kamalapur Railway Station area on Monday (March 24), it was seen that train rakes have been placed in a row on each platform line. There is a huge crowd of passengers on each platform. However, ticket holders are quite relieved as there are fewer ticketless passengers on the platform.

Jahangir Alam's family will go to Tarakandi by Jamalpur Express train. He informed that, and there will be a huge crowd on the train after three/four days. As a result, I am sending the family home early. I will be able to go at the last minute somehow or the other. However, arrangements have been made for this so that everyone in the family can rest easy.

Shayla Ahsan, a passenger of Agnibina Express train, told that, I was preparing for a job in Dhaka after completing my studies. I go home every Eid, and I am going this time too. I am going at the beginning as it gets crowded towards the end.

Station Manager of Dhaka Railway Station Shahadat Hossain said, 16 intercity trains have left for different destinations in the country from morning to 11:30 am. A total of 43 intercity trains and 25 mail and commuter trains will leave Dhaka Station throughout the day today.

He also said, the number of passengers at the station is more today than on other days. We have taken all measures for their safety.
