Kate Winslet ecstatic after meeting Titanic's pianist
Surely, you remember those unforgettable scenes from the film Titanic. A group of musicians stands on the ship’s deck, playing their instruments. Even as the ship begins to sink, they continue playing. Leading the group was a pianist named Jonathan Evans.
Kate Winslet, the lead actress in Titanic, has since gone on to produce several films. Although she has previously worked as an executive producer, her film Lee, released last September, is the first she has produced entirely on her own. As such, she was involved in every aspect of the production. Recently, she shared an experience related to the making of this film.
While recording the music for Lee, Kate’s eyes caught sight of one particular member in the orchestra. Among the 120 orchestra members, she immediately recognized this person as someone special. Even though she couldn’t quite place him at first, she whispered to herself, “I feel like I know him! I’ve seen this face somewhere before!”
Another member of the orchestra then exclaimed, “That’s him!”
Kate cried out, “Yes, it’s him! Oh, it’s so wonderful to see you after all these years!”
Later, Kate explained how many remarkable people she met while working on Titanic and how many beautiful moments they shared. Yet, over the years, she hadn’t been able to meet many of them again. Seeing him now, after all this time, she said, was an indescribable feeling.
James Cameron's Titanic was released in 1997, taking the world by storm. It brought back to life the tragic story of the "Ship of Dreams" that sank into the Atlantic in 1912. The romance between Jack and Rose became an eternal love story etched in people's hearts. Audiences wept as Jack met his tragic end, and sweet Kate Winslet became a timeless icon, forever cherished by countless fans.
