Khaleda Zia taken to hospital
BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been taken to city hospital for some urgent physical tests.
She arrived at Evercare Hospital in the capital at 7:10pm on Wednesday (May 1). The 78-year-old former prime minister is suffering from various diseases including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, kidney and lung complications.
Khaleda's press wing officer Shamsuddin Didar said as per the decision of the medical board, Khaleda Zia has been taken to the hospital for some physical tests.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Khaleda Zia's personal physician and party vice chairman Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, and Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal President Afroza Abbas were present at her residence when she was taken to the hospital,.
Earlier on March 31, Khaleda was urgently taken to the hospital at 2.30am due to a sudden deterioration in her physical condition. After being taken to the hospital, some tests were conducted. The medical board prescribed some medicines after getting the test results. Later, she was admitted to CCU. She returned home on the night of April 2.
