Khaleda Zia's treatment begins

The advanced treatment of former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has started.

Khaleda Zia's personal physician AZM Zahid Hossain said, Begum Khaleda Zia has been admitted to The Clinic. Her treatment has begun. Now some tests are being conducted.

Earlier, the air ambulance of the Qatar royal family carrying Begum Zia arrived at Heathrow Airport at 9:15am local time in London (3:15 pm Bangladesh time).

She was taken directly from London's Heathrow Airport to a specialized private hospital called 'The Clinic'.

There, the medical team from Bangladesh explained the latest medical information and documents related to Khaleda Zia to the doctors at the hospital.

Three-time former prime minister Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various physical ailments including liver cirrhosis, kidney and heart complications, diabetes, and arthritis for a long time.
