Khaled-Nahid's fiery bowling, Sri Lanka bowled out for 280
The first Test of the two-match series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka has started today at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and invited the Lankans to bat first. On the first day, Sri Lanja's innings ended with 280 runs due to the great bowling of their Khaled Ahmed and debutante Nahid Rana.
Sri Lanka lost 5 wickets for just 57 runs. Three of them are victims of Khaled. Then captain Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindo Mendis took responsibility for the team. They added 202 runs for the sixth wicket partnership. After the big partnership, the Lankan innings collapsed again. Both Dhananjaya and Kamindo played innings of 102 runs.
In the end, the Lankans' innings ended with 280 runs. Khaled Ahmed and Nahid Rana both took three wickets each. Besides, Shariful Islam and Taijul Islam got one wicket each.
