Last two days were the most difficult period in my life: Nusrat Faria
Actress Nusrat Faria has expressed her emotional state of mind after being released from prison on bail.
In a Facebook post, Faria said: "I have spent the most difficult two days of my life. I was mentally broken."
Nusrat Faria took to the social media platform soon after she was released from Kashimpur Women's Central Jail in Gazipur on bail at 3pm on Tuesday (May 20).
After leaving the prison, she quietly left for Dhaka with her relatives. Although journalists were waiting in front of the prison at that time, Nusrat Faria did not speak to anyone.
Later, she wrote about her state of mind on a Facebook post. On Facebook, she wrote: "I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to those who were always by my side during this time. Starting from my colleagues, everyone in the industry, and even ordinary people—who spoke up for me, spoke up for justice, and stood by my side—I will remember their support and love for the rest of my life."
She also stated: "If you weren’t there, I might not have been able to be here so quickly. I would especially like to thank our media workers—their support was much needed. I will always remember your love for me."
On Sunday morning, she was detained by the immigration police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport while on a trip to Thailand. She was then shown arrested in a case filed with the capital’s Vatara Police Station.
A person named Enamul Haque filed an attempt-to-murder case against 283 people in a Dhaka court in March. Nusrat Faria and several other film personalities are among the accused.
