Legendary singer Runa Laila turns 72

Today marks the 72nd birthday of Runa Laila, the legendary singer of the country. Having crossed the milestone of 71 years, she will spend her special day with her family.

Runa Laila has made an indelible mark on the music world, both as a singer and a composer. She has earned national recognition for her contributions to music, even receiving the National Film Award as a composer. Alongside her own vocal performances, she has composed songs for renowned artists like Asha Bhosle, Hariharan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Adnan Sami, Akhi Alamgir, and many others from the current generation.

With a repertoire of more than 10,000 songs in various languages across both audio and cinema, Runa Laila continues to be an active presence in the music world.
