Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Province-wise results
India witnessed a mammoth democratic exercise as around 90 crore voters participated in the 18th Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections in four states-- Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim.
The Lok Sabha also known as the lower house of the parliament consists of 543 parliamentary constituencies across the country. Each is responsible for electing one member who serves as the voice of their respective constituencies in the Lower House of the Parliament.
Uttar Pradesh with a total of 80 constituencies, is highest among all Indian states in Lok Sabha. A total of 17 seats among these are reserved for the Scheduled Castes.
After UP, Maharashtra is the second state with the highest number of constituencies, totaling 45. Among these, 5 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 4 for Scheduled Tribes.
