Lowest temperature 11.4°C recorded in Naogaon: Met office

The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 11.4 degrees Celsius in Naogaon on Monday (December 11) which is the lowest this season. Naogaon's Badalgachi Meteorological Department confirmed it. The lowest temperature recorded in Badalgachi was 14.0 degrees Celsius on Sunday (December 10).

Frosty wind starts after evening and after that, the thick fog fell throughout the night. The entire town is covered in fog till morning. Due to this, vehicles have to run with lights on even during the day.

On Monday (December 11), the Meteorological Department announced that the minimum temperature in Dhaka today is 16.6 degrees Celsius. Meantime, the temperature in Ishwardi of Rajshahi division has dropped to 12.5 degrees Celsius. It is also said that the temperature in Gopalganj district of Dhaka division has dropped to 13 degrees Celsius.

Apart from this, 13 degrees Celsius temperature was recorded in Jessore, Dinajpur district and Sayedpur of Nilphamari, Tentulia of Panchagarh and Dimla upazila of Nilphamari.

However, winter has brought suffering for the locals, especially low-income individuals. The sudden drop in temperature is making it difficult for the local residents to adjust.
