Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim to visit Bangladesh on friday
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is set to visit Bangladesh on Friday, accompanied by a 58-member delegation that includes cabinet members, deputy ministers, parliamentarians, senior government officials, and dignitaries.
During a press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this afternoon, Foreign Affairs Adviser Touhid Hossain announced the visit.
This marks the first high-level visit by a foreign head of government since the fall of the Awami League government on August 5 and the formation of the interim government led by Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
Touhid Hossain said, "During his visit, the Malaysian Prime Minister will hold a private meeting with the Chief Adviser and will also meet with President Mohammed Shahabuddin while in Dhaka."
The discussions will focus on key areas such as economic cooperation, political relations, trade, labor migration, education, technology, infrastructure, and defense.
