Dhaka metro rail service is set to be extended by an hour from Wednesday ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. MAN Siddique, managing director of the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited, announced it on Tuesday at a press conference at the Expatriate Welfare Building in Dhaka’s Eskaton. According to the new schedule, the last trains will depart from Uttara at 9:20pm and Motijheel at 9:40pm. Currently, the last train from Motijheel departs at 8:40pm, while the last train from Uttara sets off at 8pm.

বুধবার থেকে ঈদের আগের দিন পর্যন্ত এক ঘণ্টা বেশি চলবে ঢাকা মেট্রোরেল। মঙ্গলবার বিকালে রাজধানীর ইস্কাটনের প্রবাসীকল্যাণ ভবনে এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এই তথ্য জানান, ঢাকা ম্যাস ট্রানজিট কোম্পানি লিমিটেডের (ডিএমটিসিএল) ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক (এমডি) এমএএন ছিদ্দিক। নতুন সূচি অনুযায়ী উত্তরা থেকে সবশেষ ট্রেন ছাড়বে রাত ৯টায় এবং মতিঝিল থেকে ছাড়বে রাত ৯টা ৪০ মিনিটে। বর্তমানে রাত ৮টা ৪০ মিনিটে মতিঝিল থেকে সবশেষ ট্রেন ছাড়ে। উত্তরা থেকে সবশেষ ট্রেন ছাড়ে রাত ৮টায়।
