Metro service on Agargaon-Motijheel route halted

Metro service on the Agargaon-Motijheel route is currently closed. A source from MRT Line-6 said that train services will be stopped until the issue is fixed.

When asked about the suspension of metro rail services on the Agargaon-Motijheel route, Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited's Director of Operations and Maintenance, Nasir Uddin Ahmed, told the media, "There is a problem on that route, and it will take time to fix. The metro rail is currently running up to Agargaon from Uttara."

In a message, DMTCL announced that train movement from Agargaon to Motijheel has been temporarily stopped since 9:40 AM due to unavoidable reasons. However, train services from Uttara North to Agargaon are still being operated. Updates will be provided when normal service is restored for the Agargaon to Motijheel section.
