Mild earthquake jolts Sylhet

Sylhet was shaken by a mild earthquake on Saturday afternoon.

Farzana Sultana, assistant meteorologist of the Department of Meteorology, said, "The earthquake of 4.5 magnitude  was felt today at 4:18:31 p.m. The place of origin is 263 km away from Dhaka in Assam, India.” However, according to USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake was 19 km south of Silchar in the Indian state of Assam.
