A fire has broken out at the Godown Slum in the capital’s Mohakhali area. According to Fire Service control room operator Rahim, the fire broke out at 4pm on Sunday. Being informed, eight fire-fighting units rushed in and are trying to douse the flame. Firefighters said the fire is getting massive and more units would be called in a short time. The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.

রাজধানীর মহাখালীর গোডাউন বস্তিতে আগুন লাগার&nbsp;ঘটনা ঘটেছে। তবে তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে এই আগুন লাগার কারণ ও ক্ষয়ক্ষতির পরিমাণ জানা যায়নি। ফায়ার সার্ভিসের নিয়ন্ত্রণ কক্ষের অপারেটর রহিম জানিয়েছেন, রবিবার বিকেল ৪টার দিকে এ অগ্নিকাণ্ডের ঘটনা ঘটে। খবর পেয়ে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের আটটি ইউনিট ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণের চেষ্টা চালাচ্ছে। দমকল কর্মীরা জানিয়েছেন, আগুন ব্যাপক আকার ধারণ করছে এবং অল্প সময়ের মধ্যে আরও ইউনিট ডাকা হবে।
