Motorcyclist killed in head-on collision with truck in Bandarban

A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a motorcycle in Bandarban's Ruma on Monday afternoon. The deceased is identified as Md Saleh (45).

According to law enforcement forces and locals, a truck collided with a motorcycle in Munlai Para area of Ruma-Boga Lake road of Sadar Union of Ruma Upazila. Motorcyclist Md Saleh died on the spot. He was a resident of Keochia under Satkania upazila of Chatrogram. He was the son of Mia Hossain. Another person was injured in the incident.

On receiving the information, the members of law enforcement went to the spot and sent them to Ruma Health Complex.

Confirming the incident, Ruma Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Syed Mahbubul Haque said, "We are contacting with the family of the deceased. The injured person is under treatment in hospital. The accident took place in a head-on collision between a truck going towards Boga Lake and a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction."
