MP Anar murder: India’s CID submits charge sheet
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of India has issued a 1200-page charge sheet in the murder case of former MP Anwarul Azim Anar.
The investigating agency could not provide any information regarding the cause of the murder in the charge sheet filed in the Barasat Court of the North Twenty-four Parganas District of the state.
The CID accused butcher Jihad Howlader and Mohammad Siam in the murder of former MP Anar in the charge sheet.
Jhenaidah-4 parliamentarian Anar went to Kolkata on May 12, reportedly for treatment. He went missing the next day.
He was murdered in a flat in New Town’s Sanjeeva Gardens on May 13. The police said the killers chopped him into pieces before discarding the body parts.
