MP Anar was murdered, our country's individuals involved: Home Minister
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said that Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar was plannedly murdered in Kolkata and three have been arrested in Bangladesh in this connection.
Asaduzzaman Khan came up with these remarks at his residence in the capital on Wednesday (22 May).
Asaduzzaman Khan said, "Our investigation is proceeding appropriately, and certain details cannot be disclosed at this stage for investigative purposes. We are receiving cooperation from the Kolkata Police. Based on the available information, individuals from Bangladesh are implicated in this murder."
"We haven't received the body yet. Police in both countries are conducting investigations. Indian police have assured us that his murder is confirmed," he added.
Earlier, Anwarul Azim Anar, who traveled to India for treatment, has been found dead. His body was discovered in a rented house in Kolkata's Newtown on Wednesday morning (May 22). He journeyed to Kolkata for medical treatment on May 11. He stayed in touch with his family and party leaders for two days. However, since May 14, he could not be reached, and his WhatsApp number was found to be inactive.
