Muhib elected president, Mustafiz secretary of JU Chhatra Shibir

The new committee for the 2025 session of the Jahangirnagar University branch of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has been formed, with Mohibur Rahman Muhib elected as President and Mustafizur Rahman as Secretary.

A members' meeting was held at 10:00 am on Friday (January 3) to form the new committee. During the meeting, members cast their votes using a ballot paper signed by the central president. After the votes were counted, the central president, Jahidul Islam, announced Muhib as the president, having received the highest number of votes. He was then sworn in.

Following the members' suggestions, the newly elected president, Muhib, declared Mustafizur Rahman as the secretary.

The newly elected president, Mohibur Rahman Muhib, is a student of the 2017-18 session of the Bengali department and a resident of Shahid Salam-Barkat Hall. Meanwhile, secretary Mustafizur Rahman is from the 2017-18 session of the Philosophy department and resides in Bangabandhu Hall.

In the closing session of the meeting, central president Jahidul Islam delivered a guiding speech to the members, emphasizing the challenges of student movements and the importance of fulfilling their responsibilities.

The event was also attended by central literary editor Sibagatullah, former president of the Jahangirnagar University branch Harunur Rashid, and leaders from various levels.
