Mymensingh Chamber of Commerce sells 8 essentials at subsidised prices

With an aim to share the joy of Eid with everyone, a package of eight essential commodities are being sold at subsidized prices in Mymensingh city ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Mymensingh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) President Aminul Haque Shamim inaugurated the sale of the package of eight essential commodities at Tk 800 which is comparatively lower than the market price at Kali Shankar Guha Road in Panditbari area of the city on Wednesday afternoon.

The package contains three kg polao rice, one kg soybean oil, one kg sugar, 250 gm powdered milk, 200 gm thin vermicelli, 150 gm laccha vermicelli, five types of garam masala and one piece of shopping bag. The city dwellers expressed their satisfaction for being able to buy the products at this price.

Commenting on the initiative, the MCCI president said, “The initiative has been taken as a small effort to share the joy of Eid with the common people; so that they can enjoy Eid with their near and dear ones amid festivity.”

District Awami League President Ehteshamul Alam, District Awami League General Secretary Advocate Moazzem Hossain Babul, MCCI Senior Vice President Shankar Saha, and Mymensingh Press Club Executive Committee Member Nyamul Kabir Sajal, among others, were also present at the event.
