Mysterious fire breaks out in several electric poles in Chittagong

Fire broke out in several electric poles at the same time in the Bahaddarhat area in Chattogram city, spreading panic throughout the area.

The fire broke out around 2:30am on Tuesday (March 25).

Eyewitness Md Mohaminul Islam said, “I was walking from Bahaddarhat. Suddenly, I saw flames falling from the electric poles onto the road. I was very close, I ran and narrowly escaped.”

Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defense Deputy Assistant Director Md Abdur Razzak said fires broke out on several electric poles on the way from Bahaddarhat to Shulakbahar. Upon receiving the news, the Power Division was immediately requested to disconnect the electricity connection and a team of the Fire Service went to the spot and brought the fire under control. There were no casualties.
