Nahid gets four-fer as Rangpur seal commanding victory
Pacer Nahid Rana's four wickets took Rangpur Riders to their second victory in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Rangpur beat Sylhet Strikers by 34 runs in Tuesday’s encounter at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.
Earlier in the day, Rangpur won the toss and opted to bat first. They managed to score 155 runs for 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, losing three top-order batters for just 28 runs. The innings was salvaged by Iftikhar Ahmed’s crucial knock of 47 runs and Nurul Hasan Sohan’s captain’s innings of 41 runs.
Sheikh Mehedi Hasan also chipped in with a late cameo, scoring 16 runs off 8 balls, helping Rangpur reach a respectable total.
Chasing the 156-run target, Sylhet made 122 runs in 20 overs.

Rana took out four of Sylhet's key batters -- Zakir Hasan, Paul Stirling, Jaker Ali, and Samiullah Shinwari -- to restrict them to 121-9 after Rangpur posted 155-6. Left-arm spinner Khushdil Shah and seamer Mohammad Saifuddin chipped in with two wickets apiece.
