Naval warning signal 2 to seaports in 3 areas

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has asked river ports of the country’s three regions to display naval warning signal number 2.

In the warning from 10:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday (May 18), the department said that there may be temporary rain or thunder with gusty winds at a speed of 60-80 km per hour over Tangail, Mymensingh and Sylhet regions from the west or north-west.

Therefore, the seaports in these areas have been asked to show naval warning signal number 2.

It also said that there may be temporary rain or thunder with gusty or wind speed of 45-60 km per hour over Dhaka, Madaripur, Noakhali, Cumilla, Barishal and Chattogram regions from west or north-west direction.

So, the seaports in these areas have been asked to show signal number 1.
