NCP rally: Activists lock horn in presence of Sarjis

National Citizen Party (NCP) activists and a section of Students Against Discrimination (SAD) have reportedly locked horn in the presence of Chief Organiser (North) of NCP Sarjis Alam in Bogura.

The chase-counter chase broke out at 5:15pm during a rally in which several people were injured.

Sources said that at one stage of the discussion, the two parties got into a fight.

According to sources, NCP organised a protest rally demanding trial of Awami League and a ban on their political activities on Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, a section of SAD arranged a separate programme in protest of NCP's rally at the same place.

When Sarjis along with some other leaders of NCP entered the stage, some SAD activists got into the auditorium while chanting "Fake, Fake".

The fist fighting continued while Sarjis was speaking, sources said.
