Never said MP Anwarul was involved in smuggling: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal clarified that they never accused Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar of being involved in smuggling.

He made this remark while talking to reporters at an event in the capital's Rajarbagh on Tuesday afternoon (June 11).

The minister said, "We never claimed that MP Anar was involved in smuggling."

Kamal responded to a question about whether Anar's daughter had disclosed the name of any suspect, stating, "The minister, IGP, or investigating officer cannot make any statements until the investigation concludes. We will address these issues once the investigation concludes."
