No chances to send Khaleda Zia abroad: Law Minister
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital, cannot be send abroad for treatment purpose, said Law Minister Anisul Huq.
He said: "We didn’t receive any application in this regard."
Noting that there is no opportunity to send Khaleda Zia abroad in the executive order, he said: "As far as I have received information, the process of installing Khaleda Zia's heart pacemaker has started this morning. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that she sees the issue of Khaleda Zia's illness from a human perspective. Her sentence has been suspended since 2020 and she was allowed to stay at home. Khaleda Zia is being treated by doctors from abroad in the hospital of her choice."
He said this in response to reporters' questions after inaugurating a training workshop for judges at the Institute of Judicial Administration in the capital on Sunday (June 23).
In response to a question from journalists, the minister said that the judgment given by the British court on war criminal Chowdhury Mainuddin is biased and one-sided.
"In this judgment, the correct information did not come out."
