No govt hospital or lab has international certificate, says Health Minister

Health Minister Samanta Lal Sen stated on Wednesday that no government hospital or lab in the country holds an international certification.

The Health Minister provided this information in response to a written question from Morshed Alam, the Awami League MP elected from the Noakhali-2 Constituency, in Parliament.

The Minister, however, said the National Institute of Laboratory Medicine and Reference Center is in the process of obtaining ISO certification.

He mentioned that in the future, initiatives will be taken to obtain international standard certificates for other government health service institutions.
