No instance of firing from helicopters: Foreign Ministry
The foreign ministry said that there was no firing from the helicopter to manage the situation related to the quota reform movement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed this information in a statement released on July 28.
It said that helicopters are mainly used for surveillance, rescuing trapped law enforcement personnel, and firefighting during emergencies.
The statement further declared that the government is committed to holding accountable, through proper investigation, those responsible for every incident of student deaths, murder, arson, vandalism, and acts of terrorism that occurred during the quota reform movement.
An inquiry commission, led by a High Court Division judge from the Supreme Court and established on July 18, has already begun its work on this issue. Additionally, multiple departmental investigations are being conducted into the incidents of murder and violence.
