No such thing as second independence: Mirza Abbas
Citing that that there is no such thing as a second independence, BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas said that those who talk about a second independence want to make the Independence Day look short.
He said this while talking to journalists at the National Memorial in Savar on Wednesday (March 26) after paying tribute to the martyrs of 1971.
Abbas said, “There is no such thing as a second independence, those who talk about a second independence had no role in the liberation war.”
He said, "Despite differences in party affiliation, everyone's unity will remain the same for the needs of the country."
In response to a question about whether there is any doubt about the national election, Mirza Abbas said, "The chief adviser said that the election will be held in December. We want to keep faith on his words.”
In response to a question about whether there is any challenge to the election, Mirza Abbas said, "Every political party in Bangladesh is an opponent. I don't want to believe that the election won't happen."
