Notification postponing HSC exams fake: Education ministry
The education ministry has said that the notification, postponing the upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams, that went viral on Facebook is fake.
The notification circulated in the name of the Dhaka Education Board mentions the postponement of the HSC exams by one month.
Education ministry’s public relations officer MA Khair said that the circular has no basis.
He said, “No decision has been made postponing the exam. The HSC and equivalent exams will be held on June 30 as per the schedule.”
Due to the Covid pandemic, the long-standing practice of holding the HSC examinations in April got disrupted. The government is trying to gradually bring the old practice back.
Last year, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee planned to hold the HSC 2024 exam in the second week of June. But later it was postponed by two weeks.
This year, the HSC examinations will be held as per the revised syllabus of 2024.
