OIC member countries congratulate PM Sheikh Hasina

The OIC member countries have congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her party Awami League's absolute victory in the 12th parliamentary elections held on January 7.

Ambassadors and High Commissioners of Brunei, Malaysia, Egypt, Algeria, Kuwait, Libya, Iran, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Palestine, Morocco and Pakistan paid courtesy call on Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday on behalf of their respective countries.

The ambassadors conveyed the congratulatory messages of the heads of state and government of their countries to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

They exchanged views on various bilateral and international issues of mutual interest and development. Ambassadors expressed optimism that Bangladesh will become a developed and prosperous country under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. They expressed their determination to continue the cooperation of their respective countries with Bangladesh.

The premier thanked the heads of state and governments of these friendly countries for their continued support to the people and government of Bangladesh.
