OnePlus is going to manufacture handsets in Bangladesh this time. The handsets would be assembled at Benli Electronic Enterprises factory, where Oppo and Realme brand handsets are also assembled, in Bhogra Bypass area of Gazipur.

According to a press note, OnePlus Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd has signed an agreement with Benli Electronic Enterprises in this regard.

Benli Electronic Enterprises received BTRC's Category A certificate as a local mobile handset manufacturing or assembling company in September 2019. It is a 100% foreign-invested company, according to the bidder's information.

They have been exempted from NBR by adding 7.5 percent additional cost on the addition of Oppo, Realme and OnePlus brand handsets. Benli Electronic Enterprises officials (on condition of anonymity) say they have expanded their factories to accommodate OnePlus handsets manufacturing. New manpower has also been added.

In addition, they are lining up separate channels for the marketing and after-sales service of this brand of handset.

BTRC says that due to the demand for mobile handsets and socio-economic development of Bangladesh, Beneli is being allowed to assemble handsets of Oppo, Realme as well as OnePlus brand.
