Our political arena must be free from miscreants: Badiul Alam Majumdar

Election Reform Commission Head Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder said, our political arena must be free from miscreants. The autocratic fascists should not be able to come back and take seats in parliament. And the political arena must be cleaned. Those miscreants who have killed people, who have killed extrajudicially, who have oppressed and tortured in various ways, who have committed crimes against humanity should not be included in any political party. They should not be able to play a role in any politics.

He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at a seminar held at the Mainamati Auditorium in Cumilla Barde on Saturday (January 18) afternoon.

Senior lawyer of the Supreme Court and High Court Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun, Additional Director General of BARD Dr. Abdul Karim, Executive Officer of the District Council Nazrul Islam also spoke at the seminar, while technical opinions were provided by Engineer Abu Sayem Majumder of Comilla City Corporation, Vice President of the National Cooperative Union Advocate Kazi Nazmus Sadat, President of Comilla Bachao Manch Adv. Golam Faruk, General Secretary Adv. Motaleb Hossain Majumder.
