Over 100 killed in Pakistan by Indian strikes: Rajnath Singh
Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has claimed that more than 100 people were killed in Pakistan following Indian airstrikes. He made this statement during a meeting with political parties, stating that the strikes were carried out in retaliation for the Pahalgam attack.
Singh added that India’s military operation is still ongoing, emphasizing that the country is fully prepared to respond to any future aggression.
“The Indian government does not wish to escalate the situation,” he said. “However, any hostile act will be met with a strong and decisive response.”
In reaction, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a stern warning to India, saying, “India made a grave mistake by launching an attack on Pakistan last night—they will have to face the consequences.”
Sharif made these remarks during a national address on Wednesday night (May 7).
He added, “India may have thought Pakistan would back down, but they have forgotten that this is a nation that knows how to fight for its homeland.”
The Pakistani Prime Minister also claimed that an Indian fighter jet was shot down, describing it as part of their response. However, India has not confirmed the loss of any aircraft.
