Pakistan achieved a historic 2-1 ODI series victory over Australia with an 8-wicket win in the final match in Perth, marking their first series triumph on Australian soil since 2002. This success came under the leadership of Mohammad Rizwan, captaining the team for the first time.

Pakistan's pace attack dominated, restricting Australia to just 140 runs. Shaheen Afridi (3-32), Haris Rauf (2-24), Naseem Shah (3-54), and Mohammad Hasnain (1-24) played key roles in dismantling the Australian batting lineup. In response, Pakistan chased down the target in only 26.5 overs. Openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafiq built a strong foundation with an 84-run stand, scoring 42 and 37 respectively. Rizwan (30*) and Babar Azam (28*) completed the chase effortlessly.

With key Australian players like Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Steve Smith in the squad despite preparations for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Pakistan’s dominant performance was especially significant.
