Pakistan thrash Australia by 9 wkts to level series 1-1
Fast bowler Haris Rauf claimed 5-29, and Saim Ayub scored 82 runs as Pakistan defeated Australia by nine wickets in the second ODI in Adelaide on Friday.
Australia was bowled out for 163 in 35 overs under Rauf’s relentless pace, while left-hander Ayub hit six sixes and five fours as Pakistan raced to 169-1 in 26.3 overs, leveling the three-match series.
Former captain Babar Azam clinched the victory with a pulled six off Adam Zampa with Abdullah Shafique staying unbeaten on better than run-a-ball 64 which featured four boundaries and three sixes.
The series decider will be held in Perth on Sunday, with Australia resting five key players to prepare for the upcoming five-match home Test series against India, beginning on November 22 in Perth.
