Pass rate highest in Jashore, lowest in Sylhet

The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for the year 2024 have been published (Sunday-May 12). An average pass rate is 83.04 percent in the nine General, Madrasah, and Technical Education Boards this year.

Among these boards, Jessore Board leads with the highest pass rate of 92.32 percent.

Dhaka Board holds the second position with 89.32 percent pass rate. Following closely are Barisal Board: 89.13%, Rajshahi Board: 89.25%, Mymensingh Board: 84.97%, Chattogram Board: 82.80%, Cumilla Board: 79.23% and
Dinajpur Board: 78.40%.

Sylhet, on the other hand, remained at the bottom with a 73.35% pass rate. The board was at the bottom with a 76.06% pass rate last year as well.

Around 20,24,192 students from 29,735 educational institutions appeared at the SSC and equivalent examinations at 3,700 centres.
