PepsiCo launches new soft drink ‘Sting’

PepsiCo, a multinational food, snack, and beverage company, is going to expand its beverage offerings in Bangladesh with the introduction of Sting, a new carbonated soft drink brand.

In a bid to attract the attention of the consumers across the country, the brand has launched its inaugural campaign in Bangladesh under the slogan of ‘Shock Lagbei’, meaning ‘you must be shocked’, says a press release.

According to the press release, the brand has also launched a playful and quirky TVC that vividly outlines the brand's promise of electrifying enthusiasm.

Speaking about the new soft drink, PepsiCo Bangladesh Associate Director Anuj Goyal said, “We are delighted to launch our powerhouse brand, Sting, in Bangladesh. Sting stands out with its exceptional taste, and we are confident that with the compelling new campaign, Sting will deeply connect with our consumers. The TVC is an interesting and fun take on electrifying moments and we are confident that it will resonate strongly with our younger consumers across the country.”

Md Sharfuddin Bhuiyan Shamol, head of marketing of Transcom Beverages Limited, "We have launched Sting in Bangladesh keeping the youth in mind. I think the exceptional flavor, distinctive colour, and packaging will help generate buzz among young people.”

The new Sting TVC will be amplified via a robust 360-degree campaign spanning TV, digital, outdoor, and social media. Sting will be available in a single-serve PET pack of 200ml across all modern and traditional retail outlets in Bangladesh, as well as on leading e-commerce platforms at a price of Tk 30, reads the press release.
