PM provides financial assistance to families of quota reform movement victims
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has provided finiacial assistances to the family members of the deceased persons killed in the recent quota reform movement as they met her at her official residence Ganabhaban in Dhaka on Sunday (July 28).
Family members of deceased Abu Sayeed, an English Department student of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) along with 33 other families came to the premier's official residence on Sunday.
PM Sheikh Hasina handed over saving certificates and cash to them as assistance.
The family members of the victims broke down in tears in the presence of the Prime Minister.
To console the victims' family members, Sheikh Hasina said, "I understand your pain. I am also enduring the sorrow of losing loved ones, just like you."
Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan were present there.
Earlier on July 26, the BRUR administration provided financial assistance to the family of deceased Abu Sayeed.
