PM's Deputy Press Secretary Tushar and APS-2 Hafizur's appointment contract cancelled

The contractual appointment of the Prime Minister’s (PM) Assistant Private Secretary-2 (APS-2) Gazi Hafizur Rahman and Deputy Press Secretary (DPS) Hasan Zahid Tushar has been cancelled.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification on Wednesday canceling their contractual appointment to be effective from June 1.

Hafizur Rahman and Hasan Zahid were appointed on January 28 this year after the formation of the new government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Hafizur Rahman served as an assignment officer in the Prime Minister's Office from 2008 to 2019 when he was appointed as PM’s APS-2.

Hasan Zahid was appointed as deputy press secretary of the PM during the AL government’s previous tenure. Before that he served as a journalist of The Daily Star.
