Police sets up check posts across Dhaka

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has set up special check posts at different parts of Dhaka to maintain law and order.

On the order of DMP Commissioner Md Mainul Hasan, the police started this special security check post operation at various important and strategic places of the city on Monday (November 4) to protect the law and order of the city, recover illegal weapons and drugs, and prevent robbery.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Media and Public Relations Department of DMP Muhammad Talebur Rahman said that this special check post activities have started from 4pm on Monday.

This special check post operation of DMP will be conducted at Basila of Mohammadpur, Babubazar of Kotwali, Postgola Bridge of Shyampur, Signboard of Jatrabari, Staff Quarter of Demra, Basabo Street of Sabujbagh (Kamalapur), Gabtali of Darus Salam, 300 feet of Khilkhet, Abdullahpur Bridge of Uttara Paschim Police Station and Dhaur Bridge of Kamarpara and Turag.

This special check post operation will continue in two shifts every day till further orders. The first shift will be conducted from 4pm to 12pm and the second shift from 12pm to 8am.
