President Sahabuddin receives 24 hrs ultimatum to resign

Protest leaders from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement have issued an ultimatum to Md Sahabuddin, demanding his resignation as President within the next 24 hours.

Emdad Babu issued the ultimatum on behalf of the protesters in front of Bangabhaban at 4:30pm on Tuesday, October 22.

Addressing the President, he said, "You have lied as President. You are the friend of the murderer Sheikh Hasina. I demand your resignation within the next 24 hours. Otherwise the movement will continue. Come tomorrow morning and let us hear that you have resigned. If you have shame, you will resign."

A protester named Bahar Uddin said, "We will not leave the streets until President Chuppu resigns from his post." Chuppu is a liar. He is a friend of dictator Sheikh Hasina. We do not want any dictator's friend to hold this post."

Earlier, the President Anti-discrimination student movement leaders and activists started the protest aaround 4.00pm from the central Shaheed Minar demanding the resignation of Sahabuddin and the banning of Chhatra League.
