President's resignation demanded amid debates, criticism

Anti-discrimination student movement leaders and activists assembled at the central Shaheed Minar demanding President Md. Sahabuddin's resignation and a ban on the Chhatra League.

Members of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement, National Citizens' Committee and people from various professions have joined the march which started from the Dhaka University premises.

Anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Sarjis Alam and other leaders participated in the march.

On Sunday (October 20), the weekly political magazine Janatar Chhok of Daily Manabzamin reported on former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation. In an interview, President Sahabuddin expressed uncertainty, stating he had heard about the resignation but lacked documentary evidence despite his efforts to obtain it.

Since October 21, debates and criticisms have emerged nationwide, questioning President Sahabuddin's tenure.
