Price of gold decreases slightly

Gold prices in Bangladesh have decreased slightly after increasing to a record high as the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced a revised price for 22-carat gold in the domestic market.

The price of the best quality gold, or one bhori of 22-carat (11.664 grams) gold, has been reduced by Tk 1,750. The price of one bhori of 22-carat gold is now Tk 1,11,000.

This price has been reduced after the price of acidic gold decreased in the local market. Bangladesh Jewelers Association said that the new price will be effective from Wednesday (March 20).
