Prime Minister going to New Delhi today
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave Dhaka for India's capital New Delhi on Saturday (June 8) to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India.
With this, Narendra Modi is taking oath as the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term.
Prime Minister's speech writer M Nazrul Islam said, "The Prime Minister will leave Dhaka for New Delhi at 11am on Saturday (June 8) and will return to the country at noon on June 10 after attending Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony."
Earlier on Wednesday (June 5) during a telephone conversation, Narendra Modi invited the Bangladeshi Prime Minister to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
Sheikh Hasina accepted this invitation.
In India's 18th Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-led NDA alliance won 293 seats and the INDIA alliance won 233 seats.
