Professor Ehteshamul Hoque appointed DG of DSHE

Professor Dr. Ehteshamul Hoque of Patuakhali Government College has been appointed as the Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).

This information was revealed in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education Mahbub Alam on Sunday (February 2). The Ministry of Education appointed him to this post more than a month after the previous DG retired.

Dr. Ehteshamul Hoque replaces ABM Rezaul Karim. Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Professor Rezaul Karim retired on January 4.

Earlier, after the fall of the government on August 5 last year, Professor Nehal Ahmed, nephew of former President Abdul Hamid, resigned from the post of Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education on August 21. He was appointed on a contractual basis. He submitted his resignation to the Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division citing personal reasons.
