PSG scripts fairy tale victory in UCL
The UEFA Champions League delivered yet another unforgettable night of football drama. After Barcelona's thrilling 5-4 comeback victory over Benfica the previous night, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) took center stage on Wednesday, scripting their own heroic story with a spectacular 4-2 win over Manchester City.
Trailing by two goals against the English giants, PSG's incredible comeback kept their hopes alive for a spot in the Champions League Round of 16. With this victory, the French club now has 10 points from seven matches, sitting in 22nd place on the table.
Elsewhere, Real Madrid dominated FC Salzburg with a 5-1 win, Arsenal comfortably defeated Dynamo Zagreb 3-0, and AC Milan edged past Girona 1-0. In a shocking result, Bayern Munich fell 3-0 to Dutch side Feyenoord.
The match in Paris began with high intensity as PSG and Manchester City both pushed aggressively in the first half, creating numerous chances. However, neither team managed to break the deadlock before halftime. The second half, however, unfolded like a fairy tale for the home side.
Manchester City struck twice early in the second half, with Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland scoring in the 50th and 53rd minutes to give the visitors a 2-0 lead. At that point, the match seemed out of PSG's grasp. But just when all hope seemed lost, PSG turned the game on its head.
In a breathtaking four-minute span, Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola scored in the 56th and 60th minutes to bring the match level at 2-2. The rapid exchange of goals electrified the atmosphere and shifted momentum entirely in PSG's favor.
The French side then showcased a masterclass in attacking football. João Navas put PSG ahead in the 78th minute, and in the dying moments, Gonçalo Ramos sealed the victory with a clinical finish. PSG's remarkable comeback sent their fans into raptures, solidifying the match as one of the season's most unforgettable encounters.
