Rain, thunderstorms predicted in 26 districts across country
Rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds has been forecast for 26 districts in Bangladesh, according to the Meteorological Department.
This information was provided in a thunderstorm warning issued on Friday (April 18).
The forecast predicts that between 9:00 am and the next six hours, temporary gusty winds ranging from 45 to 60 kilometers per hour, along with rain and thunderstorms, may affect the following districts: Rajshahi, Naogaon, Joypurhat, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Gaibandha, Bogura, Pabna, Sirajganj, Tangail, Mymensingh, Netrokona, Kishoreganj, Brahmanbaria, Dhaka, Narsingdi, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Cumilla, Bhola, Barguna, Noakhali, Sunamganj, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, and Habiganj.
Meanwhile, the continuous rainfall over the past three days has led to a drop in temperatures across the country, resulting in a decrease in heat. The department also noted that rain may persist in various parts of the country today.
