RAJUK seals off Nawabi Voj on Bailey Road

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) conducted a raid at Nawabi Voj restaurant in the capital's Bailey Road on Tuesday.

After the operation, RAJUK sealed off the restaurant. The operation was conducted around 11.00am led by Executive Magistrate Monir Hossain Howlader.

Monir Hossain Howladar told reporters, "We came on the raid as part of regular activities.
The restaurants use fires to cook food, gas is being used. It is being seen whether there are necessary measures to prevent fire in these places. Apart from this, other rules are also being observed."

The magistrate said, "I sealed the Nawabi Bhoj restaurant because it was built in violation of the law."

After the death of 46 people in the fire in the Green Cozy Cottage building on Bailey road, Rajuk, City Corporation, Police and RAB launched operations in deferent areas of the capital from Sunday.
