Rupganj fire under control
A fire that broke out in Gausia kitchen market of Rupganj, Narayanganj in the early hours of Sunday (March 24) has been brought under control around 6:30am on Sunday (March 24). No one was injured in this incident.
According to the fire service and local sources, the fire broke out in the Kithen market part of Gauchia Market around 3:35am. Later, when the fire service was informed, several units of the fire service came and started working at around 3:50am. At this time eight units of Rupganj's Kanchan, Araihazar, Adamjee EPZ and Demra station joined one another and worked to control the fire. The fire was brought under control around 6:30am on Sunday. About a hundred shops were burnt in this incident.
Narayanganj Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Fakhar Uddin Ahmed said, "Eight units of ours worked and brought the fire under control. Dumping is now underway. There is no possibility of fire or spread. No one was injured in this incident. The cause of the fire and the amount of damage will be known after the investigation."
